TMP Program Spotlight: Girls Write Pittsburgh

Girls Write Pittsburgh (GWPgh) inspires girl-identified teen writers to grow their voices through writing. GWPgh is the city’s only program designed to empower girl-identified teen writers through the creative expression of writing, exposing them to a world of opportunity, through the craft.

GWPgh hosts Weekly Girls Write: Spaces sessions:

  • Mondays at Millvale Community Library: 213 Grant Ave. in Millvale from 6-7pm
  • Tuesdays at Autumn House Press: 5530 Penn Ave. in Garfield from 6-7pm
  • Tuesdays at Public Source: 746 East Warrington Ave. in Allentown from 6-7pm
  • Wednesdays at Alphabet City @ City of Asylum, 40 W North Ave. on the Northside from 5-6pm

And announcing Rainbow Writers!
Rainbow Writers is an LGBTQ+ focused teen writing group that works to open up a space for young writers to find their voices. Rainbow Writers welcomes writers age 12-18. Rainbow Writers serves those teen writers that are seeking an inclusive space. Rainbow Writers' weekly workshop meets on Tuesdays at Repair The World, 6022 Broad St. in East Liberty from 6-7pm.
