The Pick is In! Jerome Bettis Leadership Award Honorees Featured During Steelers First-Round Draft Pick

The Pittsburgh Steelers, The Mentoring Partnership and Giant Eagle team up to recognize HS student athletes who go above and beyond to support their peers and their communities.  This year, several of our Jerome Bettis Leadership Award Honorees were part of a memorable national moment during the first round of the NFL Draft, joining Jerome Bettis on stage as the Pittsburgh Steelers announced their first-round selection! As Pittsburgh celebrates Draft Week and the excitement surrounding the future of football, this moment also highlighted the importance of investing in the future of our communities.

The Jerome Bettis Leadership Award recognizes student-athletes who are making a difference through leadership, service, and support of others. Now in its fourth season, the initiative honors both boys HS football and girls HS flag football student-athletes who are creating positive change in their schools and neighborhoods.

We are proud to see these outstanding young leaders recognized on such a prominent stage and grateful for the partnership that continues to shine a light on the power of mentorship, service, and youth leadership.

Congratulations to our Jerome Bettis Leadership Award Honorees, and welcome to Pittsburgh, Max Iheanachor!
