Using Your Imagination
Imagination is more than fantasy or childish behavior...it is creative visualization that is necessary for learning about people and events we don’t directly experience, such as history or things happening on the other side of the world.
Children need time and space to develop their creative imaginations...when you force them to figure out for themselves how to fill their time, their innate creativity will kick in and their imaginations will soar! Provide young people the opportunity to use their creativity and imagination to decide what fantasy to explore or what part of their world they’d like to discover more about at their own pace, in their own way.
Whether you're telling stories, making art or building, fostering a sense of creative imagination can be very important and helpful to a child's development. Check out these fun resources for encouraging kids to use their imaginations!
