Summer Reading Fun

Let's Do This

Summer is right around the corner and one great activity is reading, whether inside staying cool, or sitting poolside! If your young person has a summer reading assignment for school, read their book with them and create a “book club” experience. Discussing the book can help them with their assignment. If they don’t have any summer work, it's a perfect time to explore different genres. Head to the library and pick out a book to enjoy together!

Stay Inspired

Not sure where to start when picking out a book? Check out the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, or your own local library, for summer reading challenges. Sign up, read books and win prizes!
