Express Care

September is Suicide Prevention Month

Let's Do This

September is Suicide Prevention Month.  As caring adults, it's important for us to be mindful of our young people and notice when they may be struggling with mental health challenges. By finding the courage within ourselves to engage in open discussions, we can potentially help save lives. And oftentimes, this starts with the language we use.  Here are some tips that may help when engaging in courageous conversations.

Stay Inspired

988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, is free, confidential and available 24/7.  Anyone can call, text, or chat with a 988 Lifeline counselor for help during difficult moments anytime, day or night. September 8th is 988 Day. Click here to share a social post to spread the word about this important resource!  Remember, every conversation can be a step toward healing. By fostering open dialogues, we contribute to a culture of care and support.
