Self-care is for everyone!

What’s pulling at your attention? Are you swamped at work? Have you over-committed yourself to certain activities? Do you have family at home seeking your attention as well? It's easy to get overwhelmed with the demands of everyday life. When we don't take care of ourselves, we're not the only ones who are impacted...others in our lives, especially young people, can sense our distraction. Foster your own self-care and encourage it in just a few moments this week with a young person in your life.

Take some time with a young person and spend it together in selfcare. Set aside 3 minutes to sit down and meditate. Take 15 minutes for a healthy snack together. Or spend 30 minutes reading and discussing an article on a topic that matters to you both. Modeling self-care is an important step in helping young people see how they can care for their own well-being.
