What does it look like to remake learning?

To celebrate 20 years of Remake Learning, the organization gathered 57 innovations that have shaped Pittsburgh’s learning landscape. Some were one-time events; others became permanent fixtures. Some launched as ambitious experiments; others grew from humble beginnings. They took root in classrooms, libraries, museums, maker spaces, parks, community centers, and places that can’t be categorized. From TV shows
to toys, weather balloons to video games, they showed us that the possibilities for learning are endless.

Behind these 57 stories are thousands of educators, artists, librarians, technologists, students, families, and communities who are remaking learning in the region. Individually, each project is inspiring in its own way. Taken together, they reveal the creativity and generosity of a region committed to helping young people learn and thrive.

We celebrate the impact of each of these projects and hope they spark new ideas, inspire new connections, and motivate us all about what might come next.
