Practicing Humility

Kendrick Lamar once said, “Sit down, be humble.” But is it as easy as it sounds? Humility can be one of the simplest yet hardest human characteristics to practice. From our physical appearance to our consumer choices, oftentimes the focus is on me, me, me.

To be humble or practice humility can mean many different things to many people. It can mean embracing assistance from others in order to achieve a goal or actively listening to someone when they are in times of distress. But, at the base of it all, it involves both mental and physical awareness. Humility helps us show compassion, kindness and grace. Being humble is one of the greatest, lasting impressions you can leave on someone.
