October is STEM Mentoring Month
October is STEM Mentoring Month! Whether the kids in your life are teens or younger, it's never too early to start learning about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
To get a conversation started, ask them if they know what STEM stands for. If not, let them know what each letter stands for and give a little explanation for each. For older youth, ask them to give you an example of what an engineer or someone who works with technology does. Make this last week of October fun by learning and talking about STEM!
If your young people are really interested in STEM, you can encourage them to explore activities, develop sparks and research careers in the field. Click here to learn more about STEM Mentoring for both kids and adults!
