Get Outdoors and Be Happy

The temperature is rising and so is the opportunity to get outside and in nature. Research suggests that being in nature and feeling a connection with it increases well-being and happiness in both adults and youth.

Right now, young people might be feeling some isolation and anxiousness while wrapping up their school year from home and not having access to sports, clubs or extracurricular activities. Spending time outside -- going hiking, playing games or sitting in the park or even walking around your neighborhood -- can help youth feel better, feel more connected and be better able to focus on other things.
