Fun and Teachable Moments

Summer vacation is in full swing, and it can be challenging to keep young people active and engaged. This can be especially difficult while we're still experiencing the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. But never fear! No matter your budget, where you live or what your young person is interested in, there are opportunities for fun!

One helpful resource is the Teachable Moments mini-series from WQED Education that's intended to help support parents and caring adults in engaging youth at home. Check out their website for short videos that have fun and educational activities related to acting, dance, art, gardening and even astronomy or building a survival shelter in your backyard! Watch them with your young person and do the activity together!
