Creating a Stay-at-Home Summer Bucket List

We’re all disappointed that many of our favorite summer events and activities won’t be happening this year. While we know that this is important for the health and safety of our communities, young people may be feeling particularly upset at the thought of missing out.

To help ease that feeling, try creating a stay-at-home summer bucket list with fun things that you can do together at home or while maintaining physical distancing guidelines. Make the list together with the young people in your life and be sure to include new things that they’re excited about, as well as old favorites and a few challenges!

Here's a few ideas to get your wheels turning:

  • Backyard or park picnic
  • Indoor movie night
  • Kitchen cook-off with a kid-friendly recipe
  • Bird watching or flower identification

Make it everyone’s job to ensure that you get through the list by the end of the summer and, when you do, plan a celebration!
