Connecting LGBTQ Youth with Resources

Let's Do This

As Pride Month comes to an end, it’s important to ensure that LGBTQ youth feel included, safe, and cared for during all times of the year. Earlier this month, we shared a tip about how caring adults can celebrate Pride Month by supporting youth - modeling inclusion, speaking up, listening, staying informed, and taking action. While these are all important things to do, take your support to the next level by sharing organizations that help to amplify the safety of youth just like them! Here’s a list of a few nationwide LGBTQ organizations to share with the youth you know:

  • The Trevor Project - works to end suicide among all LGBTQ individuals
  • National Youth Advocacy Coalition - social justice organization that works to end discrimination for the LGBTQ community
  • Live Out Loud - nonprofit that connects LGBTQ youth ages 13 - 18 with role models, resources, and opportunities
  • GLAAD - works to ensure fair, accurate, and inclusive representation to advance LGBTQ acceptance
