Celebrate National Compliment Day!

It’s always a good day to compliment and affirm a young person in your life, but did you know that there’s a special day for it? This Friday, January 24th, is National Compliment Day!  And since January is National Mentoring Month, it only makes sense that we use this day to show extra appreciation for the young people we mentor, as well as those who have mentored us. 

Help a young person celebrate the day by brainstorming with them ways to compliment and show appreciation for people in their lives. Some ideas might include:

• Writing a letter or card
• Scheduling an activity or quality time to spend together
• Making a homemade gift
• Simply and sincerely saying “thank you”
