Appreciating the Small Things

It may seem strange to suggest slowing down when so many of us aren't doing a lot of the activities we normally do. But opening up space to notice small and wonderful things in our lives can help us appreciate, explore and learn about our world, especially during challenging times. As caring adults, we can help children notice and appreciate the small things by creating opportunities for them to look, giving them time and space to explore and offering quiet and silence so they can concentrate and think.
