Addressing fear of the unknown.
Sometimes young people can act like they know it all. They've been there, they've done that and nobody can tell them otherwise.
Once thing to keep in mind: a child's "know-it-all" attitude can sometimes mask fear. What do youth fear? They fear the same things we do—failure, looking stupid, rejection—all the things that can keep them from taking important steps to achieve their goals.
When confronted with the unknown, many young people act apathetic. Having adults in their lives that they can talk to about their fears and ask for guidance from will help to spur them on to achieve their goals.
