Everyday Mentoring Tips

Cultural humility is an important part of all mentoring relationships. Taking the time to learn about a young person's social identity and get a better understanding of their lived experiences plays a key role in forming meaningful connections. 

Summer often leaves kids with lots of unstructured time. This is a great opportunity to encourage play and learning! 

Support responses can be a great way to encourage young people (or adults!) to open up and share more during conversations.
