TMP Program Spotlight: Mentors in the Making

Published

At Carnegie Science Center's Mentors in the Making program, students are matched with an adult STEM professional, and the pairs meet weekly in the Fab Lab to learn digital fabrication technologies, software, design skills and eventually create an independent capstone project that impacts the community.

Mentors in the Making is looking for professionals in STEM fields who are interested in making a difference in the life of an at-risk youth. Starting in mid-October, teens will be matched with interested mentors to meet once a week at the Carnegie Science Center. By committing 90 minutes on Tuesday or Thursday nights, mentors have a positive influence on a high school student’s education and career choices!
