Thank Your Mentor Spotlight: Aaron Donald

Someone who has been a mentor to me...
I have two. I’d definitely say my father, Archie, and my high school coach, Coach Gibbs.
These people have had such a big impact on my life because...
My dad introduced me to working out. Through weight lifting, I developed a strong work ethic at a young age. Coach Gibbs was tough on me and taught me not only how to focus, but also how to receive instruction/coaching.
Why is mentoring important for everyone?
Mentoring is critical. If youth are receptive to the guidance, it’ll very likely lead him/her in the right direction and ultimately onto the path of success.
A message for my mentor...
To my father, I would say: “Thank you for preparing me to become a professional before we even knew what that meant and thank you for being instrumental in developing a strong work ethic.” To Coach Gibbs: “Thanks for coaching me up on how to receive information. Because of your coaching, I was able to translate that new information, apply it on the field and dominate competitors.”
