May LENS: Personal Wellness - Stress in the Workplace

Stress can have a big impact on a person's overall wellness. As caring youth professionals, it's important that we administer self-care, so that we can best help the young people that we serve.
The Stress in the Workplace workshop is both interactive and insightful and intended to help participants identify elements in their daily lives that can contribute to working, living and existing and in a stressful state. By helping people look within we uncover personality traits that can either support or interfere with a challenging situation and/or person. We review what stress is, common signs of stress and how it affects individuals both emotionally and physically. Coping strategies are also discussed to help alleviate the effects stress has on one’s health and mental well-being.
