When Tammy first came to the center, she was a 13 year old, very shy girl who had recently lost her mother. She was paired with her mentor, Robyn. During this difficult time in Tammy's life, Robyn was able to mentor with her one-on-one. Robyn really felt like she was guiding her mentee in the right direction. After some time Robyn could see Tammy's confidence grow, and she became the most reliable and resourceful youth in the program. She started to display her talents in writing poetry and styling hair. Now, five years later, Tammy will be graduating with plans of continuing her education in either Cosmetology or Journalism and Communication. Robyn is very proud of Tammy and honored to have been able to help her throughout the past 5 years.
