When Grant graduated from college with a degree in communication, he was confronted with the task of starting a career. In his search, he found himself volunteering with Mission Discovery. At first he felt uneasy about working with youth for the first time. But, he had the desire to impact a young person and was open to the idea of being influenced by them.
Starting out with 20 mentees was challenging, but over the weeks it became very rewarding. Soon the activities, conversations began to truly mean something to Grant and the kids. He even got the mentees involved with making short films - one of his long time interests. Grant's life was changed as he helped his group at Mission Discovery grow into young adults.
