Choosing Educational Apps and Websites
| July 27, 2020
There are a lot of apps and websites out there that claim they'll help children learn, but how can you tell if a platform is effective and a good fit for the young person in your life? Common Sense Media answers this question by suggesting four pointers to consider when reviewing apps and websites:
- Choose products that are age and developmentally appropriate.
- Consider what the young person is interested in and what they'd enjoy learning about.
- Allow for these interests to guide what you choose.
- Do some investigating by examining the description, reading unbiased reviews and try it out first yourself.
It may take some time to find what works for you and your young person, but taking this time can help you find something that challenges them and helps them continue learning, all while having fun!
