In our day-to-day lives, when we’re concerned about bills, what to cook for dinner and getting to where we need to be on time, it’s easy to forget that young people also face big and challenging decisions. While these decisions may be different from ours, it’s important not to minimize or disregard them just because they are not adults.
According to a listening session facilitated by the federal Interagency Working Group on Youth Programs, the top five topic areas most important to teens today include career readiness, healthy relationships, identity, education and access to healthcare. Show teens you care by listening to them and supporting them through these decisions.
