Amachi Pittsburgh
Amachi Pittsburgh's mission is to mentor and empower young minds to overcome the challenges of parental incarceration.
Amachi Pittsburgh is about mentorship. We mentor the children of incarcerated parents in Allegheny County by seeking and securing role models for these children at a time when they need them most.
Because all children have great inherent value, it is our hope and expectation that the potential and purpose of all children are recognized, protected, and nurtured. Through mobilizing a unique partnership of secular and faith-based organizations, Amachi Pittsburgh works to ensure that mentoring relationships will have a profound and lifelong impact on children and their families.
