The Promise Coaches Campaign aims to create a college going culture in the City of Pittsburgh by empowering adults to help youth earn a high school diploma and succeed in college and careers.
Promise Coaches are family members, teachers, bus drivers, crossing guards, coaches, community members, and librarians – ANYONE who wants to help the young people in their life reach their full potential. Through education and awareness, Promise Coaches creates a community of supportive and informed adults that are able to guide the young people in their lives to success through informal mentoring.
Want to help youth achieve their goals, but don’t have the time for a formal mentoring program? Support the youth you already have in your life by becoming a Promise Coach. Attend a 90-minute training and gain the necessary tools and resources to help youth achieve graduation requirements and develop a post-high-school plan.
Three Promise Coaches trainings are available – one specifically catered to professionals in the social services sector, one created for general community members and businesses, and one created specifically for high school students.
