TMP is Hiring: Everyday Mentoring Research Intern

Position Summary:  The Everyday Mentoring Research Intern will work with the Program Director to create tips and information for our Everyday Mentoring movement. This information, designed to inform, inspire and support adults who interact with youth, is distributed in multiple ways, including:

  • by e-mail to more than 450 individuals each week
  • on MentoringPittsburgh.org
  • via social media and custom social platforms   

Position Details: This work can be done in our office or off-site.   It is expected that the intern will contribute a minimum of 6 new tips each month. Positive work environment – great support team Expected time commitment – 10 hours per month.  This internship position is unpaid.

Qualifications:  The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can seek out information on specific topics and identify unique resources to share with our key audiences.  He/she will be someone who enjoys writing and appreciates the importance of caring adults building mentor-like relationships with youth.   The successful candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent organization and communication skills and will be proficient in the use of technology.  Child and youth development knowledge is a plus.
