As mentoring practitioners who follow best practices, you know that pre-match training is essential for mentors before they are matched with their mentee. Research shows that training is the strongest predictor of match success. But what about mentee pre-match training? Most mentees in a mentoring program did not initiate engagement, therefore, they may not fully understand what it means to be mentored. Pre-match training for mentees is also critical to the success of the mentor/mentee relationship. This session will equip programs with the resources they need to ensure that mentee’s understand the benefits of participating in your mentoring program as well as how to make the most of their mentoring relationship. You will leave this session will the tools you need to design and deliver program-specific mentee training.
