Comcast Mentoring Awareness Days
THANK YOU to all the agencies, mentors and visitors to the Waterfront for Comcast Mentoring Awareness Day 2010. The weather was BEAUTIFUL, the music was TERRIFIC, and it was a GREAT day because 20 people have taken the next step to becoming a mentor. Year after year, the management of The Waterfont has graciously allowed The Mentoring Partnership and dozens of our partner programs to come talk to shoppers about the impact of mentoring and how they can best get involved.
Thanks to a generous grant from The Comcast Foundation, we will be hosting Comcast Mentoring Awareness Days in 2010 at various locations throughout the region. Through these events we hope to connect with as many potential mentoring volunteers as possible. If you are a prospective mentor, these are great opportunities to come meet staff from a number of different mentoring programs who will be able to share with you the work that they do. If you are a partner mentoring program of ours, these are great opportunities to come address one of the biggest challenges you face: recruiting enough mentors for all of the kids on your waiting lists.
