COURSES
This training is intended for those who would like to start a mentoring program, or for those who would like to further strengthen their existing program. This interactive program will introduce the 6 Elements of Effective Practice that should be considered for developing a successful mentoring program. Each registered participant will receive a toolkit as part of the training materials, which provides specific information on program implementation.
This training session is to provide support for you to prepare the mentees in your program for a successful mentoring relationship. You'll leave this two hour session with the tools necessary to enable you to facilitate a mentee orientation for the young people in your program including a power point presentation, agenda and interactive activities.
The Mentoring Partnership offers a train-the-trainer session for programs interested in offering mentor training at their individual sites and/or for programs that currently provide training for their mentors.
Networking, sharing resources and learning from other mentoring providers has been an essential element in the success of local mentoring programs. The Mentoring Partnership hosts the Mentoring Leadership Network meetings throughout the year in both Allegheny County (our Pittsburgh office) and in Beaver County. Each meeting includes time to network with peers as well as a topic of interest to help staff and volunteer leaders continue to grow their program and provide the highest quality mentoring to the youth that they serve. SEE BELOW for a schedule of upcoming meetings and topics that will be covered.
